David Essary

Bio:

David Essary is Chief Executive Officer of Parity Plus. He brings more than 30 years of experience in health benefits and insurance as an executive, entrepreneur, investor, strategic advisor and board member.

Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at Alight, leading corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, product strategy and partner strategy. Previously, he was President of Allstate Health & Benefits, overseeing a $2.6 billion business. He has also co-founded and led ventures in health, benefits administration, energy and medical billing.

Those decades taught David that a paid claim cannot tell the full story of a child’s care – or whether a family got the answers and support it
needed.

His experience as a father made that lesson personal and helped inspire his work at Parity Plus, which brings together purpose-built claims intelligence, expert human judgment and personalized family advocacy.

David is a current board member of the Bobby Dodd Institute, an Atlanta nonprofit that helps people with differing abilities pursue economic self-sufficiency, independence and inclusion in their communities.

He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and has received executive education from Harvard Business School.

David and his wife, Keely, live in Atlanta along with their two teenage daughters: Emme, 14, and Everly, 16, who is autistic. His oldest daughter, Taelor and her children reside in Dallas.
